What to expect?

Here at AJ Long Electric, the strive to be the DMV's most trusted electrician starts with the hiring process. With each of our electricians having over 10 years of experience, you'll know that whoever we send out, will be equipped to do the job. 

Initial Contact:


Whatever your preferred method of contact, we have you covered!


Phone Call:


-Our office can be reached Monday-Friday 8am-4pm if you have any questions or are ready to book an appointment.

-Give us a call and speak to our amazing receptionist Mackenzie, who will gladly assist you with your needs.

-Although we do our best to answer each call as they come in, its unfortunately not always possible, so if we miss you’re call leave us a detailed voicemail and we will give you a call back in the order that it was received.

Email/Online Form:

-Emails can be sent to Contact@AJLongElectric, or an online form can be submitted through our website. Feel free to include any useful pictures that you may have, in order to expedite the process.

-Emails received during business hours are typically responded to within the hour, any thing after hours will be responded to the following business day.

Online Scheduling: to schedule online! This will allow you to be directly added to our schedule, without having to make that initial contact.

-Please explain in detail the work you were looking to have performed, wether you are requesting an initial estimate, or if you would like the work performed the same day.

-You will be contacted by one of our team members at least 2 days prior to your scheduled date, if additional information is needed.

-Need service before the next date available? Give us a call to discuss an earlier option with our team, as online scheduling is standardly set for a week out.

Once Scheduled:


-Once you are officially added to our schedule, you will receive an automated text and email confirming the time and date of your scheduled appointment. If for whatever reason you do not receive either notifications, please reach out to confirm a computer error has not occurred.


-Our service manager will review the upcoming jobs in the days leading up, and will reach out via email or by phone if any additional information is needed.

Day of Service:


-Once our electrician is en route to your home, you will receive an automated text message alerting you that the electrician is on the way to your home. This will typically be about a 30min heads up.


-Once our team member arrives at your home, they will assess the existing situation, and provide an upfront price for the work requested. At this point in time, if you decide this is a Project you would like to postpone until a later date, a service fee of $80 will be applied.

-The estimate provided is valid for up to 30 days, and if scheduled within the 30 day window the original Service fee will be refunded.


-Payment: We accept multiple forms of payment, including all major credit cards, checks, and cash. Upon payment, an electronic receipt will be forwarded to the email address on file.
